DTF Art Guidelines

To make sure your prints come out crisp, vibrant, and exactly how you pictured them, please follow these artwork requirements when submitting your design:

Preferred File Type

• PNG with transparent background – This is our #1 choice. It keeps edges clean and makes the print-ready process fast and accurate.
  

Sizing & Resolution

• Size your file to the exact print size you want it to appear on the garment.
  
• Resolution: Minimum 300 DPI at final print size for sharp, detailed prints.
  
• Avoid tiny designs saved at a large size, or large designs saved at low resolution, as these will look blurry when printed.
  

Backgrounds & Transparency

• Make sure any backgrounds are removed unless you want them printed.
  
• If the file has a solid background (white, black, etc.), we will print that color as part of the design.
  

Color Considerations

• We print in CMYK, so colors may shift slightly if the original art was designed in RGB.
  
• For best results, use solid, fully-opaque colors and avoid semi-transparent layers or drop shadows unless they’re intentional.
  

Effects & Fonts

• Outline or rasterize any text so fonts don’t change.
  
• Avoid effects like glow, soft gradients, or very fine details thinner than ~.02 mm - they may not print cleanly.
